Hope you check Yelp before you go here because their Closed & has for lease sign. But see the other yelper's photo for their SJ location. It's called "Sushi Town". Definitely gonna have to give it a try when I'm in the area!

I'm really surprised I haven't written a review of one of the staples in my San Mateo places to eat! It's not fancy Japanese but the price point and portions are great and taste is good enough to warrant many repeat visits! We always get the food quick and the service is good too! Super casual spot with no frills - I always recommend coming here for a not so expensive sushi roll tasty experience!

Definitely come visit this place for the happy hour deals. The menu shows what specials are for each day of the week. I loved the food, super good and fresh and it was delicious. The service was quick and polite. It's like a mom and pop place and they take very good care of you. There isn't a lot of seating inside, but service is quick and it is worth the wait. My friends and I always come by after we golf in the area, and this has become a staple for us.

Got the Number 1 and the Double Salmon roll to go during a trip to San Mateo. It tasted good, and was definitely very filling compared to sushi that I got in the past. I underestimated exactly how much crab would be on the Number 1 roll (there is a lot). Overall, it was a good experience, and a place I would go to again if I was craving sushi in San Mateo.

Been a fan for a long time, but came back after their shifts in inflation and the specials Menu. Ordered for a to-go order to eat at O'Neills, and everything was as good as eating inside the restaurant. The #1 roll was still overloaded with imitation crab on top, and the Alaska roll had so many different flavors and textures. While the staff isnt usually the warmest bunch, that is made up by the value and quantity of food that you get. The ambience inside is a bit cramped and it is weird to see handwritten specials when you walk in, but I would never turn down a $9 Alaska roll from there. Located by a convenient garage and on the dessert block of San Mateo, this place is still a gem for anyone hungry and wanting sushi.

Great deal on sushi! Old town sushi is one of friends favorite place for cheap sushi. A lot of the rolls are under $15. They have a deal where it's 2 rolls, miso soup, and salad for $26. For decent sushi, the deal is amazing! We got the rainbow roll and rock & roll roll. The sushi itself isn't the best made. The rolls fell apart but sushi is sushi in my opinion. The amount of fish you get is great as well. Eat piece was definitely a mouth full of not more. The service is great. Our order was taken quickly and my tea was refilled regularly. We also got a seat very quickly. Overall, I would definitely come back again. I'm glad my friend showed me this place.

The price for the amount we got was so worth our meal! We paid $200 for a group of 7. We came on Father's Day at 1pm, and it wasn't busy! The quality isn't the finest, but definitely shows why it's good for the value. The inside is a bit small, with a sushi bar and around 5-6 booths.
